a throwback to an era where accomplishments were recognized with gold pins, this figural, symbolic talisman has been newly re-worked into a pendant from a pin
a winged figure holds the globe's halves in balance with one another — a lofty goal. is this St Michael? An ode to Atlas? Themis, goddess of justice? whoever it is, it's a worthwhile ambition.
the gold hue on the front of the pendant, accented by white enamel, is a bright bright hue from time-earned bloomed patina, which contrasts sharply with the true pale hue of the 10k gold visible on the back of the pendant
it's size is somewhere between dainty and statement, and could easily be added into any collection of charms

the pin was found with the entire back side nearly black with patina/oxidation, which has mostly been cleaned off, with some color inconsistencies visible from stubborn patina and from solder where the original pin back was removed. conversely, the front of the pendant is a bright yellow bloomed gold that looks like 18k
enamel is in great condition with a minor imperfection beneath the bail
